National Australia Bank has reduced some of its credit card fees, as all major banks are also starting to lobby the new Federal Government on the issue.

It is expected there will be increased regulation of consumer protection in the segment, with banks likely to be prohibited from offering unsolicited credit limit increases or raising the thresholds at the request of customers who are vulnerable.

NAB has a 13% market share of credit cards, Commonwealth Bank of Australia 20%, ANZ Banking 18% and Westpac Banking 17% at present.
